Brian Clark

Dr. Brian Clark is a 2024 graduate of the SLC Spiritual Companioning Training Program, who is now serving as a program partner and Spiritual Companion at the SLC. Brian first began engaging the SLC while in his former role as a Faculty Associate in World Christianity at Hartford International University, where he also served as Director of Instructional Design. He holds degrees in English, Divinity, Religion, and Instructional Design. His "day Job" in Instructional Design allows him to guide professors through the process of designing online courses.

As a cradle Christian, Brian has expanded his religious imagination through the study of World Christianity, through interreligious engagement at HIU, and through teaching in local Jewish day schools.

Brian has been married for more than 30 years to his dear wife Amy, and they have twins who still come home from college to visit them in West Hartford. He loves signing and writing spiritual songs, and you can often find him humming a tune. He began writing religious music in his college years, and his recent songs are steeping contemplative spirituality. He watches both birds and bugs. Having experienced grace and kindness on his own healing journey, he aspires to be a healing presence for others.
