Poetry as Prayer

Tuesdays 6/3, 6/10, & 6/24

1:00 Pm - 3:00Pm

At the Spiritual Life Center ( 76 Sherman st in Hartford) with Zoom option available.

Lead by: Oscar Brockmeyer & Donna Dellacamera

Discover the power of poetry as a sacred practice in Poetry as

Prayer, a contemplative program that explores the intersection of

poetry and spirituality. Through guided reflection, reading, and

writing, participants engage with poetry as a form of prayer—one

that deepens awareness, nurtures the soul, and fosters a sense of

divine connection. Whether drawing from ancient sacred texts or

contemporary verse, this experience will guide you in using verse

as a form of meditation, devotion, and personal expression.

Join hosts Oscar Brockmeyer, Donna Dellacamera and a

welcoming community of seekers and explore how poetry can

open your heart, deepen your faith, and become a pathway to

inner peace. You are invited to bring a poem with spiritual

significance or write a poem of your own at each session. Sign up

today and step into the sacred rhythm of words! Participants are

invited to arrive at 12:30 for a brown-bag lunch and socialization.

Zoom option also available for those who are unable to attend

in person!

Suggested cost: $65

Alternate cost: $50
