Honoring Sacred Moments- Introduction to Creating Celebrations and Rituals.

With Carol Fournier

This program will be offered twice, once in person and once online, please see below for specific times and dates.

Rituals acknowledge a deeper meaning to life and connect us to an understanding that is greater than our limited self that transcends time.

Spiritual Companions, Chaplains and Spiritual/Pastoral Care Providers are often sought out to offer Ritual to honor sacred moments. They often find themselves in circumstances that call forth a “ritual response” in support of individuals and the communities they serve.

Through cultivating the capacity to respond to the need of the moment, participants creatively develop rituals as they enhance their capacities to serve others.

The creation of ritual is an art that aligns with participant’s beliefs, values and needs. Cultivating the deep listening, inner understanding of celebration and ritual, and the freedom to engage in responding to the spiritual needs of others spontaneously and thoughtfully is a part of offering supportive spiritual care.

Participants have an opportunity to be self-reflective about ritual as well as to study the primary patterns of ritual and the creative engagement of rituals in response to contemporary needs and the beliefs and values of diverse groups.

Honoring Sacred Moments offers an introduction to:

Class 1: The Purpose and function of ritual

Class 2: Basic form of ritual and preparation

Class 3: Ritual “On-Demand” and in response to the

NONE’s (Spiritual but not Religious) needs.
