Susan Piescik companions other spiritual seekers individually or in groups for the Spiritual Life Center and the Center for Children and Theology in Washington, D.C. Her thirty years of experience as a catechist and trainer in a contemplative, Montessori-based method of spiritual formation (Catechesis of the Good Shepherd) provides many parallels to the art and practice of spiritual direction. Susan has parented or accompanied those living with a disability throughout much of her personal or professional life. Before retiring, she worked as an educational audiologist at CREC Soundbridge and the American School for the Deaf. An avid gardener, Susan’s cultivation of red raspberries is a source of perennial delight. She and her husband of many years find great joy in their adult children and their families.
