Joseph M.Tobin, Jr. is a graduate of Hartford Seminary and an ordained intentional interim minister in the United Church of Christ. Additionally, he attended the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation certification program for spiritual direction. He is a corporator of Hartford Seminary, and serves on the board of directors of New Samaritan Corporation, a not for profit corporation that provides management and housing for the elderly, non-elderly handicapped, and low income families in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Rev. Tobin provides spiritual direction to persons from the SLC, and has a particular interest in providing spiritual direction and counseling to victims of PTSD. Previous affiliations have included Masonicare and the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Hartford, where he served as a founder and president.
He lives in Bloomfield with his wife Susan, and currently serves as interim minister of the Congregational Church of Burlington.
