Christianity Through a Different Lens Book Series: Searching for Sunday by Rachel Held Evans
This Book series will explore perspectives of Christianity through a different lens. We will be reading and discussing books that cover: the fundamental truths about Jesus and learning to recognize the Creator's presence all around us and in everyone we meet; a personal journey of loving, leaving, and finding the church once again; and a remarkable story of an unconventional life of faith. Each book recounts the countless and beautiful ways that God shows up in ordinary parts of our daily lives.
"Searching for Sunday" by Rachel Held Evans.
Evans found herself wanting to better understand the church and find her place within it, so she set out on a new adventure. She tells the story of her faith through the lens of seven sacraments of the Catholic church to teach us the essential truths about what she's learned along the way. Within the pages of "Searching for Sunday," Evans catalogs her journey as she loves, leaves, and finds the church once again.
