As you may recall, during the heaviest months of the Covid onslaught the Spiritual Life Center offered a number of “Caring Circles” to the Center’s members and to people in the wider community. Over 50 individuals took part in several groups during 2020 alone. Participants expressed gratitude to have a supportive, caring, and confidential setting in which they could share what was on their hearts and minds.
The caring circles are back! We will offer three online groups beginning in the week of February 13, 2022. They are open to all who may be interested in deepening their spiritual journey in a close-knit group. The Circles consist of 6 to 8 people and are led by experienced Spiritual Directors who are trained in deep listening and respect for people of diverse spiritual paths. Participants will receive a brief document that explains how to get the most from such a group. Sessions will be held once a month from February through June for the General Caring Circles, and weekly for eight weeks for the Caring Circle with the Theme of Grief. We envision renewing the groups in the fall for those who would like to continue meeting.
At this point we offer two different Caring Circles. The Caring Circle on the Theme of Grief invites you into a safe place to share your grief journey and to hold space for the grief of others. Deep listening, compassion, camaraderie, and self-care are the goals of this series. The General Caring Circle will be available for anything of spiritual significance to the participants. Additional groups will be formed as needed to meet additional demand. These programs are open to individuals from any spiritual tradition or background as well as the spiritually independent. Come share your wisdom and compassion by caring for people just as they are. The suggested donation is $ 45, but no one is turned away for financial reasons. We look forward to having you join us.
