As the daylight declines, we approach the liturgical season of Advent, atime when Christians prepare themselves for the coming of Christ. Thisis a good time for anyone to cultivate virtues such as patience, hope,and letting go of whatever no longer serves our needs.Join Oscar Brockmeyer and Lisa Hudkins once again for the AdventPrayer series starting December 5. We will meet twice a week on Zoom– Tuesdays and Thursdays – from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The morningsessions will include selections from scripture, poetry, and religious art.Although the context will be Christian, people of any religious traditionor no tradition are welcome. Each week we will use a different methodof prayer, and instructions on the method will be provided.Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your spiritual life and enjoybeing in prayerful community with others. In this busy season, giveyourself the gift of starting your day with contemplation and prayer.The cost for all sessions is $25. Registration is required.
